Man appears in court following Elgin fire

A 38-year-old man has appeared at Elgin Sheriff Court following a fire at a home on North Street last Wednesday.

The defendant made no plea to one charge of wilful fireraising as well as to another relating to the Misuse of Drugs Act (1971).

He was released on bail until his next court appearance.
