A man who broke a window at the ScotMid in Fochabers has been ordered to pay for its repair.

Colin Reid drunkenly threw a brick through it at 4am on April 2 last year.

The 39-year-old was traced after blood stains were found at the scene.

Elgin Sheriff Court heard that £762 of damage had been caused.

Reid, who's unemployed and lives on Burnbank, Fochabers, admitted a single charge of vandalism.

He was ordered to pay back the repair costs at a rate of £40/month.
