AN EVENT focusing on human trafficking in Scotland will take place in Elgin next week.

The organisation UnBound is asking local people, 'Would you be able to recognise a victim of human trafficking?'.

The first half of the gathering will focus on raising awareness about the crime in Scotland before those gathered move on to look at what they can do to help.

As well as activating local communities to fight human trafficking, UnBound provides training to professionals to equip them to use their skills to identify and serve victims.

Everyone is welcome at the free event, which takes place on Tuesday, July 2, from 7-9pm at River Church Elgin, 10 Greyfriars Street, with refreshments provided.

Visit https://unboundnow.org/ for more details about the organisation and its work or visit the River Church Elgin Facebook page for further event details.
