The former politician turned TV broadcaster was in the region last May for the filming of 'Great Coastal Railway Journeys'.

Episode seven of the new series, which is being broadcast at 6.30pm on BBC2, is titled Cullen to Cawdor.

The publicity from the BBC states: "Michael admires the impressive Cullen viaduct before enjoying a bowl of Cullen skink at a family-run fishmonger of 150 years’ standing.

"In the factory smokery, he learns from the owner how the famous soup acquires its distinctive taste.

"Heading west along the firth, Michael reaches Forres Station and the seaside village of Findhorn, where he meets members of an eco-community founded in the 1960s.

"At the Findhorn Foundation, Michael discovers spiritual energy, sacred dancing and a history of very large vegetables."

The episode of Great Coastal Railway Journeys will be seen by around 1.3 million people within the UK, and the whole series may be syndicated around the world at a later date.

The rest of the half-hour episode will involve the presenter visiting Fort George, where he'll meet members of the Black Watch and listen to a pipe and drum rehearsal.

From there, it's on to a guided tour of Cawdor Castle.

Episode seven of Great Coastal Railway Journeys will be shown on BBC2 on Tuesday, February 1 at 6.30pm.

It will also be free to view on BBCiPlayer after that date.
