BUCKIE Thistle skipper Michael Morrison and forward Andy Low have both been put on the transfer list by manager Gregg Carrol.

The Jags boss revealed that Morrison and Low are the first two players to go as part of a shake-up.

Carrol told 'The Scot': "The standard of football in the last six weeks has not been good enough and we need to start afresh.

"We need to trim the squad and think about boys who are out of contract. Mo and Andy are both out of contract at the end of the season."

The move followed Saturday's Scottish Cup exit at the hands of East Stirling.

"I didn't want to rock the boat before the Scottish Cup obviously."

However, Carrol held a meeting with his squad on Monday night and Morrison and Low are the first casualties of his squad rebuilding.

"That is a choice I have made myself. There are no issues with those players and there could still be other players moving on."

Carrol had criticised his players following their cup exit and recent league performances, insisting too many players were picking up good wages and being in a comfort zone.
