A MORAY advice service will be extending its reach to help more people from next week.

Funding from SSE's Beatrice Partnership Fund has enabled Moray Citizens Advice Bureau to add to its services in the area, starting on Monday, February 3.

The service, which marked 40 years in Moray last autumn, is being widened to include Aberlour, Burghead, Cullen, Lossiemouth, Buckie and Forres. The Moray CAB says the additional locations will enhance availability of services to clients located in Speyside, Portknockie, Findochty, Hopeman, Covesea and Cummingston.

Moray CAB manager Mary Riley said: "The additional outreach locations will help people access Moray CAB advice and information services.

"We provide a holistic service and clients can contact Moray CAB if they are facing issues related to benefits, housing, employment, utilities, immigration, health, family, consumer, debt and money, law and courts, or anything else.

"This extended service would not be possible without the Beatrice Partnership Fund and I wish to thank SSE for providing this funding. The project will run for two years."

The advice service is free, confidential, impartial and independent. To arrange an appointment at one of the new outreach locations contact the community project adviser on 01343 559006.

The new services will be available at the following locations and times: Aberlour Library, fortnightly on Tuesdays at 2.30pm, from February 11; Burghead Library, monthly on Thursdays at 5pm, from February 27; Buckie Job Centre, weekly on Thursdays at 9.30am, from February 6; Cullen Library, monthly on Tuesdays at 2pm, from February 18; Forres Jobcentre, weekly on Mondays from 1pm, starting on February 3; and Lossiemouth Library, fortnightly on Tuesdays at 10am, from February 18.
