On Friday December 22 and Saturday December 23 a multi-agency hub will be in place on the plainstones, on Elgin High Street. The service will will run between 8pm into the early hours of the morning on both nights and is part of the Moray Festive Policing Plan.

Officers at the hub will work alongside partners from the Scottish Ambulance Service, NHS Moray, Moray Council, and the Elgin Street Pastors. The Moray Information Bus will also be the hub where officers and volunteers from Scotia Medical Group will be available to help keep you safe and offer support this festive period.

There will be support for domestic violence, alcohol and drugs, and any medical incidents. It will be a safe space to be supported by trained professionals and experienced volunteers.

Police officers in Elgin will be on dedicated patrols to provide reassurance and support in the town this month.

Constable Donald Matheson said: “In the run up to Christmas, we are working with partners to provide advice and support to anyone who may need it.

“The hub aims to provide the local community a chance to engage with the services in their area and ensure everyone has a safe festive period.”
