Speyside Care Home in Aberlour has opened The Speyside Social which will serve a variety of drinks and snacks.

The idea came to fruition following a meeting with residents who expressed their desire to meet people in a more informal and relaxed setting.

Louise Gillies, manager of Speyside Care Home, said: "Many of our residents miss popping down to their local to catch up with friends, so we thought we’d create our own pub where residents and their visitors can unwind and enjoy a drink and a snack within a secure and familiar setting.”
