A driver has had her licence revoked after she was caught more than four times over the limit.

Elizabeth Kakayi appeared at Elgin Sheriff Court yesterday where she admitted being drunk in charge of a vehicle on October 16.

The charge stated she had travelled on both the A96 between Lhanbyde and Fochabers, and the A98 road which leads towards Buckie.

A breath test carried out on the 45-year-old, whose address was given in court papers as Wallace Avenue, Buckie, gave a reading of 104. The legal limit is 22.

The case was adjourned until December 8 to allow social workers to compile a report on Kakayi.

Her licence was revoked with immediate effect.
