FAMILIES and groups are being asked to heed the new public health rules while using Moray’s parks and to stay off play park equipment.

Moray Council reiterated advice to only use parks for daily exercise alone or with other members of their household, following Scottish Government rules.

Parks in the area remain open but people are asked not to use play and outdoor gym equipment.

The council added in a service disruption update: "We should not see groups or gatherings of more than two people, which have been prohibited by the Scottish Government."

Meanwhile all Moray household waste and recycling centres closed at 4pm yesterday, and all of the region's public toilets are closed until further notice.

Moray's registration offices are also closed to the public but registrars can be contacted meantime on 01343 554600.
