The fighter aircraft, which has stood on display beside the Elgin to Lossiemouth road since 1996, has been sold for its £28,000 asking price.

It will now take its place at the Scottish Deer Centre in Cupar, which millionaire David Hamilton saved from administration in May.

The Bucanner saw action during the 1991 Gulf War where its 'Sky Pirate' marking was added.

It was later bought from the RAF by the garage's former owner.
