This Thursday is national Bring Your Child to Work day.

Obviously, the event can no longer happen in the way originally intended.

However, its organisers have hit on a clever idea to give it a lockdown twist.

Instead, people are being encouraged to send in photos of kids helping them with their jobs.

Sarah Baxter is the programme manager in Moray of the Developing the Young Workforce scheme

which aims to provide more opportunities for young people, as well as prepare them better for the

world of work and lower youth unemployment.

Sarah reckons the lockdown is a perfect opportunity to inspire the next generation.

She said: "As we know many parents and guardians will be juggling working from home and home schooling.

"We wanted to use this as a chance to encourage people to get involved with Bring your Child to Work Day – Home Edition.

"Involving children in what you do during your working day increases their awareness of the adult world of work. That's exactly what this initiative aims to achieve."

To get involved post a photograph this Thursday of yourself and your children working at home.

Use the hashtag #DYWChildtoWork and the tag @DYWMoray.

If you don't use social media, you can send your photo to: info@dywmoray.co.uk and it will be shared on your behalf.
