Sentence was deferred until October 30 for a background report on 38 year old Michael Upton after he admitted the offence at Inverness Sheriff Court.

Sheriff Eilidh Macdonald heard that police raided his home on August 15, 2022 and seized a number of devices including a hard drive.

Fiscal depute Robert Weir told the court that 38 videos lasting almost seven hours and 220 images were found and the hard drive had been last used on January 3, 2015.

They had been created in April, 2014. "There were no images of children." Mr Weir added.

Defence solicitor Grant Daglish said his client had no recollection of downloading the material.
