Moray man brings cheer to Spey Bay kids with tractor tour dressed as Santa

A MORAY man brought some cheer to local children on Christmas Eve by driving a tractor around Spey Bay dressed as Santa Claus and handing out sweeties.
Ross Gordon (51), from Nether Dallachy, drove a 1963 Fordson Super Dexta, which he restored over lockdown, around Nether Dallachy, Upper Dallachy, Bogmoor and Tugnet at 7pm last night.
He accepted donations for MFR Cash For Kids and handed out selection boxes to local children.
Ross said: "I thought of this out of the blue. I know this has been a hard time for a lot of people, and I've been signed off work and pottering about doing the tractor up.
"I have raised a bit of money for MFR Cash For Kids and dished out some selection boxes.
"The kids were delighted - and some of the adults, too!
"I got a great response."
As well as the tractor tour, Ross, who runs firewood company DRG Services Spey Bay, dropped off 46 bags of logs and 20 bags of kindlers for people in Fochabers to help themselves to.
He asked for donations to MFR Cash For Kids in return.
His original fundraising target was set at £100 but more than triple that had been raised before he even set off on his Christmas Eve adventure.
