Alan Fraser took this photo of a Fly Agaric mushroom while working in Balloch Forest, near Keith.

With their vivid red caps and white spots, Fly Agaric are among the most easily recognizable species of mushrooms.

They also famously feature in the Super Mario computer games.

Although classified as poisonous, reports of people dying from eating them are extremely rare.

In fact, they can be eaten if first parboiled twice to weaken their toxicity.
