Moray's MP, who sits on the all-party parliamentary group on Bingo, was invited to the club to celebrate National Bingo Day.

The event raised £15,000 which was donated to Variety, the Children’s Charity.

Mr Ross, who is also the leader of the Scottish Conservatives, said: "I want to thank Rebecca and her team for hosting me.

"I also want to thank them for all their hard work to ensure that they keep their customers Covid-safe, allowing people once again to enjoy a game of bingo.

"Bingo halls had a really tough time due to Covid lockdowns, so it was great to see so many people having a good night out in Elgin.

"I thank everyone for their patience as I called the numbers!"

"Our staff and customers had a good talk with him, and he did a brilliant job calling the numbers in our charity game.

"Bingo clubs are at the heart of their communities, and we greatly appreciate Douglas’ support for us."
