Moray Riding for the Disabled (RDA) and Outfit Moray were both given donations from the sponsored triathlon event, which was held last year.

Moray Riding for the Disabled was nominated by members of Elgin Rotary, following an inspiring presentation on their program, when they learned about the benefits of the charity, which provides riding lessons for children and adults with disabilities.

The group attended Cranloch Riding School on May 24, where they presented a donation of £500 to the group and learned more about the work done by the volunteers of Moray RDA.

President Martin Birse said "It was so heart-warming to learn of the experience that all ages and abilities can gain from their visits to the riding school".

The group were also delighted to learn that the funds donated by Rotary will be used to cover entry fees for the UK RDA Virtual National Championships. With no travel involved, the Moray RDA can be involved in this competition digitally and will compete in many of the disciplines involved.

Moray RDA Chairperson Ella Grant said: "It was lovely to welcome the representatives from Elgin Rotary to Moray RDA, we really welcome the support that we get from Rotary and from other local groups."
