Council house tenants in Moray are generally happier now with the deal they get, according to the latest survey.
More than 1500 were contacted by phone last Autumn and asked about various aspects of the local authority's housing service.
Of those who responded, 82.7% said they satisfied with the quality of their home – a 9% increase from the 73.9% who said so the last time a survey was conducted in 2018
Meanwhile, 86.4% felt the rent for their property represents good value – higher than the Scottish average of 81.8%.
The biggest rise came in the number satisfied with the opportunities to participate in decision making.
This figure increased by 27% to 96.2%.
Asked if Moray Council is good at keeping them informed about services and decisions, a total of 91.8% said they were – a 15% rise.
Louise Nicol, who chairs the council’s housing committee, said she pleased with the results.
She added: "I’m particularly glad that tenants feel involved in decision making, and that they feel their rent is good value for money.
"We know there are other areas to improve on where we still fall below the national average for satisfaction rates, and also recognise that tenants are seeking improvements like replacement windows, heating systems, bathrooms and kitchens.
"Each year we spend millions of pounds on improving our housing stock – more than £10 million of improvements was budgeted for 2021/22 – and we’ll continue to invest in these for the benefit of our tenants."
