Roadworks on the outskirts of Rothes will require motorists to take a long diversion during two days at the start of next month.

About 100 yards of the carriageway to the south of the town is being re-surfaced on Thursday, November 2 and Friday, November 3.

This work is scheduled to take place between 9am-4pm on both days.

Moray Council will be diverting traffic going north via Craigellachie and the Boat o'Brig.

Vehicles heading south will be diverted at Orton towards the bridge.
