A group scaled Moray's highest peak last week to pay their respects on the 80th anniversary of a wartime plane crash.

Two 21-year-old crewmen died after a Wellington Bomber on a training exercise from RAF Lossiemouth crashed into the side of Ben Rinnes about three miles south of Dufftown.

Ben Rinnes is 841 metres high – only 73 metres short of a munro.

Amongst those who climbed it were a number with military connections.

The walk was organised to remember all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in conflicts across the world.
