Moray wildlife: Owl spotted near Craigellachie

THIS owl was spotted at Balngowan Wildlife Hide near Craigellachie.

Reader David Taylor snapped a photo of the owl, which is on the hunt for its next feed.

Mr Taylor said: "This picture was taken on January 7, so that’s five or six weeks ago now and the snow hasn’t lifted, making it very difficult for the owls to hunt, especially when there’s a frost and the snow gets that crust on top.

"So spare a thought for the wildlife in these tough times. "
