PUPILS from across Moray joined together over the breakfast table to raise money for children affected by poverty.

East End Primary pupils were among children taking part in the annual Big Scottish Breakfast, run as part of STV's Children's Appeal,

The school's head teacher Gail McIntosh said: "The event was well supported and raised £163.

"Thanks go to Moray Food Plus and East End School staff for donating all the food. A great time was had by all who attended."

Across the Moray area, nurseries, schools, businesses, community groups and sports teams took part in the annual fundraiser.

Youngsters at Millbank Primary also took part, raising £250 towards the appeal.

The Buckie school runs a daily free breakfast club for pupils and opened it up to the whole school community, including parents and community partners, for the special morning fundraiser.

The STV appeal aims to ensure children get each day off to a good start with a healthy breakfast – “feeding hearts and minds”.
