MORAY Council's grass cutting policy is coming in for further flak from some residents.

This photo was taken yesterday on Elgin's Morriston Road by Northern Scot reader Chris Ince.

He said: "It is extraordinary, if not worrying, that as the fifth wealthiest economy in the world we have a local authority that can cut grass, but only one metre width of it.

"The Moray Council workers were clearly following instructions but the result is a punk rock Mohican cut. Surely they could have cut the remaining nine inches, or not bother at all?"

To save £98,000 the financially-challenged local authority changed its policy in February on cutting grass in public places.
