Moray's Mystery Crocheter backs fight against Motor Neurone Disease

Moray's Mystery Crocheter is urging folk to join the fight against Motor Neurone Disease.

This clever creation has appeared on top of the postbox on Morriston Road in Elgin.

Doddie Aid is named in honour of Doddie Weir, the much-loved Scottish rugby international who fought bravely against the condition before his death in 2022.

Founded by his former team-mate Rob Wainwright, the event is encouraging people to get active over the next two or three weeks to raise money.

The idea is to rack up the miles by walking the dog, running, cycling or using a cross-trainer in the gym – any form of exercise counts.
