Mosstodloch Flower Show set to return in 2024 as sponsorship is sought
A FLOWER show is set to return to Mosstodloch after an absence of more than 15 years.
Ronnie Smith, president of the Speymouth Village Hall, is aiming to reinstate the show. It's due to be held on September 1.
He is hoping that the hall's committee can help make the day a success – but is also seeking sponsorship from local businesses.
"I'm in the process of reinstating the show after an absence of 15 or more years away from the flower show circuit in Moray," Ronnie said.
"Now that the village has expanded somewhat, I am confident the many volunteers and village hall committee members can make this a success."
Ronnie is currently looking to have the trophies won at the last Mosstodloch Flower Show 15 years ago returned.
He is planning a flower sale and raffle, but is also seeking sponsorship from businesses and raffle prizes from businesses and locals alike.
He added: "As with any new venture, start-up funds are an important part of the process for the purchase of various items required such as trophies and cups.
"I intend to have a plant and flower sale plus a raffle to generate some funds, but need additional sponsorship to make up for the non-return of trophies many years ago."
