Cinderella's back in Portsoy - oh yes she is!

FESTIVE family fun comes to Portsoy Town Hall this week, when Portsoy Players take to the stage for three performances of their eagerly-awaited 2013 pantomime Cinderella.
Tickets are going fast for 6.30pm performances on Thursday and Friday and a 2pm matinee swansong on Saturday.
And Portsoy Players' spokesperson Liz Bowie is confident that anybody who gets their hands on a ticket will be in for an early Christmas treat.
“This is our fifth pantomime production and we’ve come full circle in a sense because Cinderella was our first show, performed in the Tattie Sheds back in 2009,” she said.
A 30-strong cast, all locals from Portsoy and no further afield than Banff, Macduff and Whitehills, supported by a dedicated production and backstage team have been hard at work on the production since August.
The title role is played by Abbey Mcleay, with Iona Rayne and Kerri Paton sharing the role of Prince Charming and Graeme Sutherland and Doug Matheson cast as the Ugly Sisters.
Scripted by Peta Duncombe and directed by Nancy Duncan, the show, in the best pantomime tradition, is packed with topical songs, local references and in-jokes.
Local artist Nic Whitehouse has again produced the scenery with support from Doug Matheson and Brodie Duncan, while a team of four – Dorothy Gillespie, Kathryn Henderson, Alison Simpson and Christine Pert – have crafted the costumes.
“The dress rehearsals have gone very well and everybody involved is now looking forward to the actual shows themselves,” said Liz.
“We can promise audiences a lot of fun and a lot of laughs.”
Tickets for Portsoy Players’ production of Cinderella, priced at £6 for adults and £4 for concessions, are on sale at Portsoy Ice Cream Shop.
