The talented hairstylists from Kenneth's Salon are embarking on an exciting new venture as they prepare to open their own salon on Batchen Street.

Julie Stuart, Yvonne Main, Sarah Jane Davies and Robyn Wheeler who all currently work at Kenneth's Salon on Elgin's Culbard Street will launch their new business, HQ at Bijou, on June 7.

The team, who have a combined 60 years of experience are looking forward to welcoming both old and new clients into their new premises - following the retirement of Kenneth's Hairstylists owners Kenneth and Shirley Black on May 27.

Julie Stuart said: "With Kenneth's closing, we really wanted to stick together. We all have different skills, and we work really well as a team, so we thought it would be really good to open a business together."

Despite being new to owning a salon, the team have plenty of experience in the industry. Julie has 21 years of experience and Yvonne, who has spent her entire career at Kenneth's Salon, has been working as a hairstylist for 33 years. Sarah Jane and Robyn also contribute their respective 19 and 3 years of experience to the group.

The team are looking forward to taking the next step and welcoming clients into their new salon.

Julie said: "We are so thankful for our customers for their loyalty and our diaries are already filling up. We're very excited for the future and whatever it holds for us."
