NHS Grampian has announced that the recent cluster of positive coronavirus cases stemming from an outbreak at Aberdeen pubs is now over.

The health board made the announcement yesterday after its incident management team met earlier in the week.

The final update determined 263 that people had been affected, while 1,265 close contacts had been identified.

An assessment has been made that any future positive cases can no longer be linked back to the cluster.

The announcement fro NHS Grampian was welcomed by Stewart Stevenson, the Banffshire and Buchan Coast MSP.

He said: "This is very welcome news and I hope it gives a sense of relief to people who have been impacted it.

"We must continue to take extra precautions and be mindful as we go about our day-to-day lives while fully aware of the impact Covid-19 continues to have."
