NHS staff should get free parking

All hospital car parking charges for NHS staff in Scotland should be abolished immediately as they combat coronavirus, according to Unite.

.

The trade union, which has thousands of members in the health service, says NHS facilities across Scotland are still charging their staff or making them apply online for parking permits.

Unite is also demanding that local authorities follow the example of Aberdeen City Council who are providing Aberdeen Royal Infirmary staff with free temporary on-street permits to ensure they can get parked.
