NHS staff to pay respects to virus victims

THE fourth Clap for Carers tribute will take place tonight at 8pm.

These lockdown weeks have seen people around the country take to their doorsteps to applaud the efforts of NHS staff in particular and key workers generally.

It has seen fellow emergency services workers halt for a minute or two to show their appreciation, and bagpipers and other musicians around the world pay tribute in unison.

NHS Grampian said emergency department workers at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary will hold an event after tonight's clap dedicated to all those who have been claimed by coronavirus and those left behind.
