No new cases in Moray for past week

The total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in Moray still remains at 78, according to Public Health Scotland.

That is the same figure as last Friday – and an increase of only one within the past 12 days.

Sadly, however, during that same period, five Moray residents who had previously contracted the virus have died.

The total death toll of people from Moray now stands at 19.

Across the whole of the NHS Grampian region – which includes Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen as well as Moray – the number of people who have contracted Covid-19 now officially stands at 1284.

As of midnight last night a total of 63 cases were being treated in hospital.

Five of those patients were in intensive care.
