No visitors rule at Moray hospitals

NHS Grampian has announced the suspension of hospital visiting from midnight tonight.
The health board decision will apply at all hospitals – other than the children's hospital and maternity units – to limit the spread of COVID-19 and to protect vulnerable patients and workers.
The measure means no visiting will be allowed at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary; Royal Cornhill Hospital; Dr Gray’s Hospital; Woodend Hospital; Aberdeenshire and Moray community hospitals – except in instances where patients are at the end of their life or if there is a clinical emergency.
However, restricted visiting will continue at Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital – one parent only – and at Aberdeen Maternity Hospital and maternity units – one birthing partner only.
Where restricted visiting is permitted, those who are unwell, have flu-like symptoms, a cough, fever or cold should stay away, as should those self-isolating due to someone in their household being unwell.
Restricted visitors are asked to stick to social distancing rules and keep a two-metre distance from other visitors, patients and staff. No children will be allowed to visit.
Patients are instead being encouraged to phone and video-call loved ones. Wi-fi has been enabled on the Foresterhill campus for patient use.
