Having previously received the award in 2018, she hopes to secure the title once more.

Iona said: “I’m delighted to be nominated for Scots Singer of the Year.

"After a busy year performing in Australia, the USA and Germany, it’s lovely to be recognised in the category.

“Winning the award would be an honour and a real boost. The category is full of musicians I’ve admired for years.

"It’s down to public vote and I’d appreciate all the support I can get!”

The awards are to be held in Dundee’s Caird Hall on December 2 and will be broadcast live on BBC Alba.

Voting opened on November 6 and will close on Sunday, November 19. To vote for Iona, visit scotstradmusicawards.com
