Number of people fully vaccinated in Moray passes 50,000

MORE than 50,000 people in Moray have received both doses of a coronavirus vaccine.

A total of 53,132 people aged 18 plus in Moray are now fully vaccinated, which is 68.5 per cent of the area's adults.

In the last week, 4087 people have been given their second jab.

Meanwhile, a total 69,948 (90.2 per cent of Moray's adult population) have received one dose of a vaccine.

Across the NHS Grampian health board region, 86 per cent of adults (407,413 people) have received a first dose, with 63.1 per cent (298,845 people) having been fully vaccinated.

In Scotland, 87.3 per cent of adults (3,890,176 people) have received their first jab and 63.2 per cent (2,808,902 people) have received both.
