One of our readers, Marylyn Johnston, from Elgin, took great delight following a recent visit with friends to Elgin Biblical Garden.

She said: "The garden was resplendent in Coronation colours, a beautiful sight. It is an oasis of calm, far removed from politics and distressing news.

"Congratulations to those who look after this peaceful corner of Elgin."

The garden, which is next to Elgin Cathedral, was opened in 1996 following a fundraising campaign.

It is maintained by horticultural students from UHI Moray.
