The session will be led by Hayley Anderson, of Buff and Blue Prints, who said: "Lino Printing is a fun and versatile craft which gives great results even if you do not consider yourself an artist and I will be offering Lino Stamp carving and greeting card printing for this project.

"Crafting has several benefits for older people and the art of creating has been shown to improve cognitive abilities by improving memory. It also promotes stress relief and has been shown to improve mental health.

"Not only this, but crafting can improve dexterity with the simple action of using hands to create something new."

The session will take place at Hanover Housing's Linkwood View, on Elgin's Thornhill Drive, on January 21 at 2pm.

No prior experience is required and all materials will be supplied.

Light refreshments will be served and there will also be an opportunity to hear about other local RVS activities.

To book a place, contact RVS activity coordinator Ian Menzies on 07342 052420 or by emailing ian.menzies@royalvoluntaryservice.org.uk.
