Cyclist Neah Evans has won a silver medal at the Olympics in Tokyo as part of the women's team pursuit squad.
Neah and team-mates – Katie Archibald, Laura Kenny and Josie Knight – lost out narrowly to Germany in the final.
Earlier in the day the four had broken the 4km world record when they won their first round heat with a time of 4:06.748.
In the very next heat, however, Germany regained the record.
In the competition's final Team GB made a strong start but were quickly overtaken as the 16-lap race continued.
The Germans eventually won gold, smashing their own world record again in the process, with a time of 4:04.249.
Neah, who lives in Cuminsetown near Turiff, said: "It's really special to be here.
"We're defending champions, so there's big expectation for British cycling because we do have such a strong reputation.
"But there are so many strong nations that came out fighting.
"It wasn't to be this time, but we'll be back in Paris."
Neah's team-mate Laura Kenny said: "Germany took everyone by surprise.
"We knew they were going to go fast – just not that fast."
Laura's husband Jason Kenny won a silver medal in the men's team sprint competition.
This put him level with Sir Bradley Wiggins on eight Olympic career medals – the most ever by a British athlete.
