Open day at Linkwood View in Elgin

PEOPLE in the Moray area are getting the opportunity to see what ‘housing with care’ entails, with an open day taking place at Hanover (Scotland)’s Linkwood View in Elgin.

The open day takes place on Friday, August 30, from 10am-12 noon and from 2pm to 4pm, and will showcase the ‘housing with care’ developments in the region for those 60 years and over – including the new Loxa Court which is due to open in the autumn.

Housing with care offers predominately older people, with a care need, the chance to live in a safe and secure environment but live independently.

Stephen McCullough, Hanover’s Care Manager, said: "The open day provides us with a great opportunity to showcase our properties and what facilities we have available.

"The housing with care option takes away the fear many older people have about losing their independence when they move into care accommodation."
