Party Like A Cockapoo event coming to Moray

A POPULAR dog party is coming to Moray this weekend.
Party Like A Cockapoo, a social gathering of doodle dogs, will take place at Harry’s Hideout Dog Park, between Lhanbryde and Garmouth, on Sunday, June 11.
The event, which will run from 9am until 11am, will house a range of activities, from an off-lead play area with agility equipment to an on-site dog bakery.
Party Like A Cockapoo is coming to the north after a series of successful events elsewhere in Scotland and England.
An event spokesperson said: “We are really excited for this event.
"We started organising it in January of this year and held one in Fife together with Cockapoo Club Fife.
"We ended up having to limit entry as it was so popular. We had people coming from as far as Brechin, Cumbernauld and Kilmarnock as there was nothing like it in their areas.
"It's quite popular in England with other event companies so we wanted to make it accessible for everyone throughout Scotland, not just in the big cities.
"It's fantastic to see all the happy dogs and excited owners. Doodle mixes have a lovely temperament, they all seem to get on so well."
Party Like A Cockapoo will take place at 14 different venues across Scotland in June, with 400 tickets sold in total.
"Doodle owners seem to go crazy for these types of events," the spokesperson added. "They love it."
The event will host a range of goodies from local dog bakeries, which will be selling pupcakes and cockapoo biscuits freshly baked on the day.
There will also be free puppicinos for all, as well as a professional photographer to capture the event's best moments.
The event is open to all doodle breeds including labradoodles, cavapoos and toy poodles.
Tickets cost £10 (plus 50p booking fee) which covers one doodle. Humans are free. Tickets can be bought at https://buytickets.at/partylikeacockapoo
