Pay and display charges returning to Elgin

PARKING charges are returning in Elgin.

Charges for the town's 15 pay-and-display car parks were suspended in March, to minimise non-essential activity and allow to council to focus on delivering critical services.

However, with lockdown restrictions now easing, more vehicles will be using car parks for employment and shopping purposes.

Moray Council has announced that charges will be reintroduced from August 1 at all pay-and-display locations, including multi-storey car parks.
