The doctor's surgery, which was run by Moray Coast Medical Practice, has been closed since the beginning of the Covid pandemic and campaigners from the Save Our Surgeries group have been fighting to re-instate the GP services Hopeman and the neighbouring coastal village of Burghead.

Last month, the practice formally stated it has no intention of re-opening the surgery in Hopeman.
