OVER 1000 whisky lovers attended 2023's instalment of the Spirit of Speyside: Distilled festival at Elgin Town Hall over the weekend.

The annual event, which was held on September 1 and September 2, united Speyside's best whisky distillers under one roof for a weekend celebrating the flavour of the region.

Best-selling brands were in attendance over both days alongside small, craft food and drink producers and VIP tickets, new to this year's event, gave some enthusiasts exclusive access to VIP only events.

George McNeil, Chairman of Spirit of Speyside, said: “This year’s Distilled festival was a great success, with so many of our distilleries and breweries taking part in the festivities and over 1000 visitors joining us for a fantastic weekend of discovery.

"We were so pleased to welcome back locals and visitors alike to sample the best of what Speyside has to offer, not only in terms of whisky but also gin, beer and the delicious local food from across the region.

"Distilled has been a great opportunity for makers and visitors to gather under one roof, in the heart of our community. We’re already looking forward to next year."
