The six day celebration of some of the finest single malt whisky in the world attracted more than 2500 visitors to Moray and Speyside.

The festival sold more than 7000 tickets for a range of tastings, tours, and other special events.

Since it was launched in1999, the festival has grown into one of the largest festivals of its kind anywhere in the world.

This year, there were visitors from the USA, New Zealand, Germany and Italy, to name just a few of the overseas destinations, with many others from across Scotland and the UK.

Speyside is home to 51 distilleries and 27 of them opened their doors to the public for the festival.

The longevity of the festival and enduring appeal is down to the quality of its offering, making it one of the premier visitor experience events in Moray and the north of Scotland.

Chairman George McNeil and his team deserve great credit for the passion and enthusiasm with which they deliver the festival.

A massive amount of work goes on behind the scenes to ensure it runs as smoothly as possible.

It provides a real boost for tourism, accommodation and local services, with an influx of visitors over the six days.

The Northern Scot was proud to be media partner of the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival this year.

Enjoy more pictures from the festival and we will see you all again in 2024.
