Police appeal for information after second flagpole is stolen in Moray

POLICE are appealing for information following the theft of a flag and flag pole in Elgin.

The incident happened between 12am and 4.30am on Thursday, 22 June, in the Morriston Road area.

This is the second theft of its type in Moray and follows the disappearance of a 30ft flagpole in Kingston earlier this month, which left residents perplexed.

Constable Ross Love said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have been in the area at this time.

“If you saw anyone acting suspiciously around the area, please contact police.

“In addition, anyone with CCTV or dash-cams around this time is encouraged to review their footage as it may assist in our enquiries.”
