Police in Moray investigate a series of break-ins in Hopeman and Fochabers

POLICE in Moray are investigating two reported break-ins and an attempted break-in that occurred over the weekend.

The premises including Speyside Coffee Roasting Co. in Garmouth, The Salty Dog Bar in Hopeman and another business in Mosstodloch were broken into overnight over May 21 and May 22.

Constable Andy Standfast said: “A premises in the South Road area of Garmouth, Fochabers, was broken into overnight between Saturday, 21 and Sunday, 22 May, whilst there was a break-in to a premises in the Harbour Street area of Hopeman the following night. A report was also received regarding an attempted break-in at Mosstodloch Industrial Estate in Fochabers, which is believed to have taken place sometime over the weekend.

“At this time, there is nothing to suggest these incidents are linked and enquiries remain ongoing.”
