Cops probe Portknockie art theft

POLICE in Buckie are appealing for information after an abstract painting was stolen from an address in Portknockie.

The artwork, which is valued at a three-figure sum, was stolen from the High Street area of village between February3-6.

Anyone with any information is urged to contact the police either by phoning the non-emergency 101 telephone number or online by using the 'Contact Us' form on the Police Scotland website at https://www.scotland.police.uk/secureforms/contact/

For those who wish to remain anonymous there are two options available.

Firstly, information can be passed in confidence through the independent charity Crimestoppers which can be reached on 0800 555 111.

Alternatively, it is possible to get and give information about crime completely anonymously though the Fearless website.
