POLICE are appealing for witnesses who may have seen a group of motorcyclists driving dangerously in Moray.

Around 10 bikers were caught travelling at speed and riding dangerously on the A95 between Ballindalloch and Aberlour and the A941 between Aberlour and Elgin on Sunday, August 21.

The group were seen speeding and carrying out dangerous manoeuvres at around 6.20pm. The motorcyclists failed to stop for officers and were subsequently pursued.

One of the motorcyclists, a 37-year-old man, was traced and has been charged in connection with road traffic offences.

Inspector Lorraine Mackie, of Inverurie Road Policing Unit, said: “Speeding and dangerous driving by motorists puts not only themselves, but other road users at unnecessary risk and will not be tolerated.

“I would urge anyone who was in the area around the time and may have witnessed the motorcyclists or has dashcam footage which could assist our investigation to get in touch."

Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 2857 of August 21.
