Members of the local community have grown concerned following incidents involving groups of individuals primarily in the area around Lossiemouth High School.

Inspector Andy Meikleham, from the Local Community Policing Team, said: “We recognise that young people want to gather and socialise, with the vast majority behaving well and not causing any criminality.

“However, we have seen a small rise in instances of antisocial behaviour, which has understandably caused some concern when large groups of young people gather together.

“Local officers have been carrying out dedicated patrols in response to these concerns and will continue to respond to any reports we receive.

“We have also been engaging with partners to support local initiatives and preventative work.

"We routinely speak with young people at schools across Moray to deliver messaging about acceptable behaviour, but it’s important that parents and those responsible for young people support our efforts by being aware of what their children are doing when out and about.

“Anyone affected by antisocial behaviour, or wishing to report a crime, should contact police by calling 101.

"Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.”
