Moray Concert Brass will team up with Spey Valley Brewery for their annual Beerfest held between 3pm and 11pm on Saturday, March 2.

With craft ales, hot food and "foot stomping music" on offer, organisers say the event is "not to be missed".

A spokesperson for Spey Valley Brewery, based near Keith, said: "We are delighted to be partnering again with Moray Concert Brass and Stein Brass in our first beer festival of the year.

"We have some very special beers this year including our latest barrel aged stout – Spey’s Rocket a 12.9 per cent beauty matured in a Balmenach cask for 4 years.

"Our sister breweries have produced some exciting beers this year such as Broughton Ales celebrating the relaunch of its first ever beer, Greenmantle, and Old Jock celebrates its 40th birthday and won gold at prestigious national SIBA and CAMRA awards.

"Alechemy Brewing has also been producing a number of exciting beers this year including imperial stouts and refeshing fruit beers which will be available to try.

"We will also be serving our new cider made with apples from Gordon Castle."

Stein Brass will provide live music throughout the day with a selection of polkas and waltzes, traditional to a Beerfest, as well as popular sing-along tunes.

Glenn Munro, musical director of Moray Concert Brass and Stein Brass, said: “We are delighted to be teaming up with Spey Valley Brewery for this popular annual event.

"The atmosphere is always fantastic, and it is a great way to raise money for the band."

Tickets for the event are available for £20 which will include £10 beer tokens.

Advance booking is recommended but a limited number of tickets will be available at the door for over 18s only.
