MORAY'S MSP Richard Lochhead visited two Moray schools this week to meet the winner and runner-up of his Christmas card design competition.

Primary school pupils from across Moray were invited to enter the competition, for which the theme was 'local community'.

The competition was won by Hannah Clapperton, a P7 pupil at Logie Primary School, with the runner up was James Findlay, P4 at Botriphnie Primary School.

James Findlay, the competition's runner-up, is in P4 at Botriphnie Primary School.

Mr Lochhead visited both schools to meet the winner and runner-up. He said: “It was great to meet both Hannah and James to congratulate them on their superb designs and present them with their prizes.

"Once again, I received lots of entries from schools right across Moray and, as always, it was very difficult picking a winner and runner-up.

“My charity Christmas card received very generous donations for Moray Women's Aid from local organisations.

"These included Robertson Group, Walkers, Maclean's Highland Bakery, The Forsyth Group, The Springfield Group and McDonald's in the Community Foundation.

"I'm delighted we have been able to raise a very healthy amount of money for Moray Women's Aid."
